Luminato Festival of Arts & Creativity

k.d. Lang

It’s not just the Stanley Cup that’s getting attention in Canada this week. Over one million people will be gathering for the Luminato Festival of Arts & Creativity in Toronto.
Everything begins at the festival hub in the David Pecaut Square. Over the next ten days, highlights include: Luminato-commissioned theatre piece One Thousand and One Nights pairs British Director Tim Supple with Lebanese novelist Hanan al-Shaykh for a riveting adaptation of this culturally significant work; another commission not to be missed is TAJ, a fusion of dance and theatre set during the Mughal dynasty; and, be sure to check out the FREE concerts with k.d. lang and Delhi 2 Dublin.
Hotel packages, dining packages, an After Hours series, and an offer to wear “art over their hearts” at the Untitled t-shirt project are just a few of the inclusive ways Toronto becomes a festival destination.
