A Bun for a Japadog

When the Edible Festival last visited Vancouver for the PuSH International Performing Arts Festival, we were commended by their publicist for choosing Nanaimo Bars. However, she did inform us that the most popular food item these days are Japadogs.

So as we revisit this city for Dance in Vancouver, the hot dog emerges once again. As you may recall from our blog from the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival, a variation of hot dogs is very popular in Reykjavik as well.

Japadog stands are a big part of the food cart scene in Vancouver, with locations throughout the city. The most popular menu item is the Kurobuta Terimayo with Kobe beef topped with dried seaweed. You can make your own hot dogs or hamburgers just as fancy with these lovely Buns. We highly recommend the suggestion to lightly toast them just before serving.
