Blue Lotus Festival is an international event that features a range of styles of Indian Sufi, Folk, Traditional, Gypsy, Tribal, Devotional, Spiritual and Indigenous music.
The site of Pushkar was selected for its historical background as the traditional story is told that originates from a blue lotus petal that fell and was picked up by Lord Brahma who according to Indian mythology was the creator of the universe. The festival serves as a meeting place for all ethnic and cultural peoples to gather and share the artistry of dance and music, rituals and traditions.
There will be more an 40 performances, nighttime showcases at sand dunes, sunrise performances, temples and concerts at archaeological sites, music workshops and film screenings, camel safaris, interactive experiential events celebrating Indian culture and art, local cuisine from across India and more.
