Festival Description

The Boomerang Festival is the sister festival of the Byron Bay Bluesfest. Boomerang takes place in the Spring and Bluesfest takes place in the Fall. Both festivals are under the direction of Peter Noble. Boomerang is a cultural festival that includes traditional and contemporary music, the practices of traditional arts and workshops including dance and rituals.

The festival will launch in 2013 with an eclectic line up of acts that speak to the healing and partnership of first Nations culture and the similarities between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples. Boomerang Festival seeks to create a place of belonging for all people and background through workshops, sharing, forums and intergenerational exchange programs.
