INTERKULTUR in collaboration with Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) and the Philippine Choral Directors Association (PCDA) are organizing the choir competition Sing’n’Joy Manila 2013. The official registration information is now available.
The international choir competition is going to be held from December 11 to 15, 2013 in the ALIW Theatre and STAR Theatre as well as the “Shrine of Jesus” Church. Following the tradition of MBC’s annual national choir competition in December, in the year 2013 the event will go international for the first time.
“The high quality of choral singing and the countrywide proliferation of choral groups in all sectors of society shows to us that choral music is something very important in this country. This is the right place to launch an international competition with choirs from around the world,” says INTERKULTUR President Günter Titsch. “We can’t wait to get the festival started.” Sure, that the country is absolutely proud to announce the competition in a special MBC promotion video.
The event categories will range from Show Choirs, Pop & Jazz, Gospel & Spiritual and Folklore to Children’s- and Youth Choirs as well as Sacred Music.
