|Country and Region||United Kingdom — England|
|Type of Festival||Literary|
|Location of Festival||Bath, England, UK|
|Festival Contact Information|
The Bath literary festival for children is a wonderful way to encourage your children to love reading by listening to readings by the books’ authors. From toddlers to teens, the festival is sure to inspire!
|Festival Dates||September 27 - October 6, 2013|
- We’ve got something for everyone including swimming with piranhas with David Almond, zombies with Charlie Higson and fairy detective agencies with Sally Gardner. There are workshops galore for children both big and small on such varied topics as E-writing, monster-making and comic book creating, as well as opportunities to learn from artists including this year’s cover image creator Emily Gravett. There will be fascinating discussions about whether there’s enough literature in translation for UK children and about writing for young people today. And, perhaps most importantly, you can learn why you should never wipe your bum with a hedgehog!
