Sappyfest is an annual festival that takes place in the small town of Sackville, New Brunswick. The programming ranges from folk to electro-pop and spans over 3 days (usually). The college town of Sackville offers motel accommodations but also by nature the festival’s laid back attitude also offers Bohemian lodging — everyone camps in backyards of other students in the area or crashes on couches and floors, and there’s a lake nearby for swimming as well.
SappyFest is an independent music festival of small and intimate capacity of 2000. Festival-goers can enjoy the main venue where the Main Stage is located with a beer garden and vendor’s market in downtown Sackville, on Bridge Street. There are side stages within walking distance and an outdoor bandstand, art deco movie house, the historic United church, and a Royal Canadian Legion.
The festival was founded in 2006 by Sappy Records today the festival has become a not-for-profit organization that works alongside Ok.Quoi?! Arts Festival, Struts Gallery & Faucet Media Arts Centre.
