Festival Description

One of the most important international music events in Romania with an excellent reputation in the world, EUROPAfest presents itself as an authentic festival, which successfully brings together in front of the large public 300 musicians from over 40 West and East countries in a wide range of music styles: JAZZ, BLUES, POP & CLASSIC. Annually the festival is committed to present a selection of more of 50 exceptional music works in a rich agenda by concerts, jazz competition, workshops, master-classes, caffè festival, jam sessions, gala.

The festival’s aim is to celebrate the excellence of music, offering a distinct event in Europe, an enriching experience for the audience. In present, 90% of the performers are non-national, therefore for the audience the festival is a gate to Europe, a way to meet new cultures. Without interruption EUROPAfest has been organized every year in Bucharest since 1994, being recognized for the treasured contribution to the music and for an outstanding achievement in culture.

  • In 2013 EUROPAfest celebrates 20 years of music excellence. Starting 2005 the international festival EUROPAfest is organized under the High Patronage of Their Royal Highnesses the Princess Margarita and Prince Radu.

Band applications 2013:
  • For the “Jazz, Blues & Pop Concerts“ bands from all over Europe of 2-6 musicians can apply. Of course exception can be made. The interested musicians/bands are required to send by post a short presentation/CV, a CD/ DVD with their representative music and a recent photo. The organisers reserve the right to select the participating bands in accordance with the festival requirements and with its audience target.
