Dak’art - Biennale de Dakar takes place in even numbers years on a biennial schedule. The contemporary arts festival is produced by the French Institute in Dakar. Artists, collectives and speakers are invited to take part. The French institute serves to promote creative and contemporary African actors, artists and professionals who make Dak’art a central ground for sharing contemporary culture. The French Institute will at the same time present debates and ideas, in the field of the new media and the video, as in that of the installations and scenography. The public will be able to further discover the projects developed by the Institute, by visiting the gallery, its gardens, its cinema, the its media library. Urban scenographic performances will take place outside the walls in cultural institute as well.
