Festival Description

The Accidental Festival is entirely run by second year students at Central School of Speech and Drama on the BA Theatre Practice: Performance Arts course. The festival is now in its seventh year and is a not-for-profit organisation. Special guests have included Katie Mitchell, Simon McBurney, Liz LeCompte, Richard Schechner, Anne Bogart, Hilary Westlake, Seven Sisters, Forced Entertainment, Felix Barret, Joel Scott and Julian Maynard-Smith. The Accidental Festival is multi-disciplinary event of emerging talents and established artists. The team of producers aspire to share their passion for the arts with diverse communities. They have run a highly successful Community & Education programme in previous years that in 2012 will continue to nurture individuality in a fun and safe environment. The festival team collaborate with artists who are also passionate about making the arts accessible through cultivating and showcasing the creativity.
