The 2009 festival has been cancelled. Please visit the festival web site for details. The Outsider is a new event which combines all the best things about a music festival with a huge range of other activities, both in the festival arena and for the first time, outside it too. Taking place at beautiful Rothiemurchus in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, The Outsider will allow people to make the most of some of the UK’s most glorious scenery. Access is easy as the site is only two miles from the A9 at Aviemore.
With a strong environmental agenda The Outsider isn’t hiding from the issues. It’s a festival for people who care about the world and want to participate rather than just consume. Just goes to show that wanting to save the planet doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time! A huge selection of activities onsite and off will include: the Merida Outsider Mountain Bike event, Britain’s Most Beautiful Run, wildlife walks, gorge walking, rafting, canoeing and astronomy. There will be loads to do no matter how active (or not) you want to be.
