The 16th Annual Rhythm and Roots Festival is featuring Legends of Roots Music: Taj Mahal, The Jim Kweskin Jug Band, Albert Lee and Steve Earle, plus all the best in “Gulf Coast Music” This Family-friendly weekend is like a road trip to America’s music hot spots, all in Charlestown, RI! This three-day, three-night celebration attracts over 10,000 roots music fans from more than twenty states to Ninigret Park in Charlestown. Four performance stages, dance workshops, and family-friendly activities are all included in the price of admission. Festival Story:

Besides being named one of the Top 100 Events in North America by the American Bus Association in 2007, the Rhythm & Roots Festival was given the Starlight Award by the South County Tourism Council in recognition of its contribution to the tourism of southern Rhode Island. Critics have been quoted as saying that, “Rhythm & Roots is an incredible experience, a perfectly organized, flawlessly run major destination event that music fans from all over the country will be drawn to…” So, if you’re looking to “let the good times roll,” the Rhythm & Roots Festival in Charlestown, RI is the place on Labor Day weekend.
