Featured performance 2009:
  • Comic, Craig Campbell
The Fringe, SMU and SMU Students Union present an evening of laughter, with headline comic Craig Campbell. ‘Craig is, simply, a very, very funny man’ - Chortle, UK
    • Craig Campbell was back at the Edinburgh Fringe last year. Locks shorn and chin blasting through sharpened sideburns his humour remains as sharp as his ever punchable nose. After sell out runs in the past with solo shows and with The Dinks, he is back with more fabulous tales. It’s an unabashed hour of stand-up. No themes. No gimmicks. Don’t come looking for answers or guidance — just be prepared to laugh. Craig is never afraid to push audiences to their limits; his laid-back charm belies a truly outrageous act, interwoven with enough warmth and heart to keep the audience on side throughout. An internationally acclaimed act, Craig’s stand-up has won him fans worldwide. Once the notorious host of Canada’s legendary Ed’s Night Party, and headline guest on numerous Canadian TV shows such as, Jim Carrey Live, The Dennis Miller Show and Just for Laughs, Craig has also appeared as presenter of Sky One’s hit series From Wimps to Warriors, recorded Comedy Cuts series one and two (ITV2), Mitch Benn’s Musical Comedy Show (BBC Radio 4), Out To Lunch (BBC Radio 2), Comedy Blue, series one and two, and Edinburgh and Beyond, both for the Paramount Comedy Channel. Craig has also featured on Comedy Shuffle (BBC Three) and The Comedy Store (Paramount Comedy Channel). With a guest appearance from Geoff Whiting who has been on the circuit for 12 years, plus fresh from this year’s Edinburgh Fringe, Taylor Glenn; winner of Mad Dog Comedy competition, Sian Meyer and Swanseas own Paul Dennis.
    • Note: This is event is strictly for over 18 and not for the faint hearted.
