Festival Description

An exhilarating festival of international dance premieres and festival commissions. The festival previously had been run on a biennial schedule and now takes place three times a year.

  • Training & Performance group
    • Monday’s: 28th Jan – 25th March
      Suitable for 12-18 year olds, contemporary technique & choreography sessions

  • Young Dance Ambassadors
    • Thursday’s: 31st Jan – 28th March

      An opportunity for 14-19 year olds to learn about event management with hands on experience

  • Half Term workshops
    • Wednesday 20th to Friday 22nd February
      Hip Hop workshops suitable for 7-11 & 12-18 year olds

  • Surrey Dance Club
    • Thursday 21st February & Tuesday 26th February

  • Battle

Hip Hop battle for young, local dancers

    • The Assassination Of Omar Rajeh, Maqamat Dance Theatre (Lebanon), Photos by Ursula Kaufmann
    • Maven, Angela Woodhouse and Caroline Broadhead’s commissioned collaboration, in response to work by American conceptualist Jenny Holzer.
