A Carpathian Winter Solstice in New York

Yara Arts Group has been collaborating with traditional artists from Eastern Europe for several years. Coming up they perform music from Koliada, a winter solstice ritual still considered one of the most important events of the year in the Carpathian Mountains. You can see ‘Winter Sun: A Celebration of Traditional Music’ at La MaMa in New York City on December 26.

An Irish Christmas
