KOSMOS The string trio KOSMOS blends different folk music styles - from Klezmer to Balkan and Argentinean for a fresh sound. Their combination of classical training and innovative interpretations have won them fans at many festivals and events. You can see them on November 29th at the Harty Room at Queen’s University in Belfast.

Dhafer Youssef in Southern Africa

Dhafer For those of you based in South Africa, don’t miss the first concert tour of Dhafer Youssef. This Tunisian-born singer, oud player, vocalist and composer has created powerful music drawn from Sufi mysticism, electronica and jazz. Frevo in Belfast

FrevoThe recently formed Frevo Quartet bring a Latin flavor of tangos, habaneras and more to the Crescent Arts Center in Belfast on November 17th. The quartet made their debut at the Dundee International Guitar Festival.

Bernard Woma

Woma As part of the New York Philharmonic’s Young People’s Concert Series, the Bernard Woma Ensemble from Ghana will play at Avery Fisher Hall in New York on Saturday, November 10th. The “Music 4 Dance” program explores the elements of making music - a real treat for all ages.
