Humana Festival of New American Plays

Movies can move from new work festivals to Oscar glory. Ever wonder how it works for theatre?
Humana Festival of New American Plays is one of the major launching pads for new plays in the US and abroad.
This year’s selections include seven full-length works, a site-specific piece, and three ten-minute plays. Ground, written by Lisa Dillman, explores the social and political issues on the US border with Mexico. Phoenix, by Scott Organ, takes a one-night stand to show how going off course can put you back on track. Check into the 21c Museum Hotel for the site-specific work Heist! by Sean Daniels and Deborah Stein.
Want some brand new shiny works? Travel north to the New Ideas Festival.
