International Body Music Festival

The International Body Music Festival starts from the premise that the first instrument ever played was our own body.

Yes, a whole festival based on the beat and rhythm of our bodies.

For the second incarnation of this festival you’ll get to see tap dancer and body percussionist LeeLa Petronio who has toured with the European cast of STOMP since 2001. Human beatbox Kenny Muhammad, aka The Human Orchestra composes music with every part of his body. The Cuban a cappella sextet Vocal Sampling reconstruct the sounds and rhythms of a Latin Orchestra.
