Edinburgh International Festival

For the Edinburgh International Festival take one UK newspaper’s advice - “you can sleep in September”.
Diaspora is a performance created by Ong Keng Sen exploring migration and displacement with a score performed live by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra. The Scottish Ensemble, joined by chamber choir Tenebrae, performs two works that James MacMillan wrote especially for the group. Visual artist and director William Kentridge’s vision of Monteverdi’s opera Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria comes to life through the South African Handspring Puppet Company.
