Jewish Music Festival
If you thought Jewish music was only old-country klezmer, the Jewish Music Festival in Berkeley, California will expand your horizons.
This year, opening night features Grammy-nominated Joshua Nelson, who combines African American spirituals with Jewish liturgical music. Other combos? Mixing klezmer, folk and punk cabaret, The Painted Bird pair up with beatbox master Yuri Lane.
Clearly, the Fiddler is going to come down from his roof to play with others.
