The cowboy is an iconic figure in the history of the American West and the Monterey Cowboy Festival brings together the “cowboy way of life” as it was lived in the past century as well as today.
From earthy cowboy poetry to music by award-winning performers to harmonica workshops with Gary Allegretto, the festival is all cowboy & cowgirl art.
Enjoy a down-home barbecue Friday night and meet the performers, including Sons of the San Joaquin, cowgirl poet Yvonne Hollenbeck, and Cree musician and songwriter Ed Peekeekoot.
