Modern masters and emerging talent are set to make the BAM Next Wave Festival a must-see.
At the top of the highlights: Robert Wilson, Philip Glass and Lucinda Childs come together again to mount their revolutionary work, Einstein on the Beach: an Opera in Four Acts. Marianne Weems directs The Builders Association in HOUSE / DIVIDED, a high-tech hymn to America’s dispossessed.
Choreographer Lucy Guerin brings together four dancers, two trained and two untrained, to gather on a square taped to the floor and follow instructions as best they can. The result? Magic in movement.
