Unsound Festival New York
Poland’s General Kosciusko helped the Americans win their revolutionary war. In the New York area, his contribution to the making of America has been honored with a bridge, a monument, and a foundation. Now, Poland is, again, helping to make America a better place.
Poland’s Unsound Festival will also take place in New York City, and for the second year in a row, the program is a refreshing mix ranging from new-classical to experimental and electronic music.
The amazing Polish orchestra Sinfonietta Cracovia perform at a number of events including the opening gala which pays tribute to Krzysztof Penderecki and Steve Reich.
Synthesizer legend Morton Subotnick revisits his 1967 album Silver Apples Of The Moon. The festival closes with a triple whammy of Lustmord’s dark ambient sound, the solo project Void of Voices and experimental musician Robert Piotrowicz.
Discover great music and be sure to thank Poland — again!
