Is there anything as cool as what a great artist can do with a simple guitar?
Guest curator (and renowned guitarist) Slava Grigoryan has assembled some amazing combinations for this year’s Adelaide International Guitar Festival.
Música Latina pairs the young and talented Brazilian Yamandú Costa with Grammy-nominated Manuel Barrueco for a night of music from The Americas. In another amazing grouping, Other Worldly Sounds brings oud master Dhafer Youssef and Austrian jazzman Wolfgang Muthspiel together to play music from their album Glow. They’ll be joined in the second half by Cameroon’s Richard Bona, who has been dubbed ‘The African Sting’. He just might be more Sting than the man himself.
