Inna Barmash: Yiddish Lullabies & Love Songs

Inna Barmash immigrated to the United States from Vilnius, Lithuania, where she first started singing in a song and dance collective. Her explorations of the repertoire of Russian and Romanian gypsies led to her co-founding of Romashka, a gypsy band based in New York.

In this podcast we talk with Inna about her musical journey, performing traditional folk songs in unexpected places and her recent release, Yiddish Lullabies & Love Songs. She’ll be performing at several festivals including the Golden Festival on January 18 and the Chutzpah Festival in Vancouver.
