A. Rey Pamatmat: Focus on Writing
Playwright A. Rey Pamatmat has been awarded the 2011-12 PONY Fellowship by the Lark Play Development Center in New York. Pamatmat is the 2010 Princess Grace Fellow for Playwriting, and his play Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them began its rolling world premiere at the Humana Festival this past Spring.
In this interview Rey talks about the benefits of dedicating a year solely to writing, how he transitioned from acting to writing, and why it’s tough to make a living as a playwright.
