Ricky Ian Gordon: Music and Risktaking

Composer Ricky Ian Gordon has emerged as a leading writer of vocal music that spans art song, opera and musical theater. Gordon’s songs have been performed by renowned singers such as Renée Fleming and Audra McDonald. Recent projects include the musical Sycamore Trees, The Grapes of Wrath, a full scale opera, and Orpheus and Euridice, a song cycle in two acts which premiered at Lincoln Center.
