Rahim AlHaj: Oud Master

Renowned Iraqi oud master and composer Rahim AlHaj has journeyed from political refugee to Grammy nominee in the span of ten years.

In this podcast he talks about the prospect of working at McDonald’s as a dishwasher upon his arrival in the U.S., his determination to share his culture and music with Americans, and why he assembled the Little Earth Orchestra to create his latest album of music.
