Dorothy LawsonETHEL is America’s premier postclassical string quartet. The band tours the world, appearing on stages as varied as the Venice Biennale, Ravinia, TED and BAM.

In this podcast we speak with cellist Dorothy Lawson, who describes ETHEL’s approach to music and performance, where young musical talent is fostered in America, and why it was so awesome to be chosen as the House Band for the TED conference.
