Primavera Sound has found a new idyllic European city to host a festival. Porto is perched on hillsides where the Douro River meets the Atlantic Ocean, making for a perfect setting for a music festival. Porto is Portugal’s second largest city, but retains a relaxed artistic atmosphere that goes well with the independent music of Optimus Primavera Sound.
The city’s name baptized port; it is the center of production and export of this fortified wine. Duck Breasts with Port Sauce and Wild Mushroom Polenta are a great way to showcase the best qualities of this robust wine. The polenta is the canvas and the duck provides a gamey counterpoint to the port sauce. Enjoy!
