Blackberries Galore

The Wakarusa Music and Camping Festival is nestled in the Ozarks of north central Arkansas on Mulberry Mountain, a lovely wooded area in Arkansas’s Ozark National Forest. Berries are a staple of the cuisine of this area and we offer two possibilities for a treat to accompany your festival experience.
If you are camping at or near the festival you can’t have open fires so make-ahead food is recommended. This Blackberry Cobbler can be prepared and transported in pyrex. It is pretty rich but hey, you deserve it. If you are not camping at the festival take a look at this recipe for Corn Hotcakes with Blackberry Syrup. It is a great way to start the day before you head off to Wakarusa.
