At the New Orleans Fringe Festival the only thing you can predict with any certainty is that you’ll experience amazing live performances in over thirty venues. You don’t go to New Orleans to see the same-old-same-old, so what better way to celebrate the Fringe Fest than with a dessert you ignite!

Bananas Foster originated at Brennan’s Restaurant in New Orleans. The dessert was named for Richard Foster, who served on the New Orleans Crime Commission and was a frequent customer of the restaurant. Butter, rum, banana liquor and bananas are set on fire for a scant three minutes and then united with the ice cream. Yum!
