Festival Description | In 1891 Fiesta® San Antonio began as a parade to honor the memory of the heroes of the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto. Since then it has evolved into a premier annual festival that celebrates the diverse cultures of San Antonio area. The festivities begin annually on San Jacinto Day. The programming includes mariachi bands, blues and jazz musicians, a symphony, and Tejano music in addition to folk dancers, fashion, international cuisine, visual arts, and more. |
