Festival Description | Known by the names: the Somali Sunrise Concert Tour for Peace, the Mogadishu Music Festival (aka Somali Reconciliation Festival) is Somalia’s first major music festival since the 1990s when conflict descended on the region. Somali Sunrise Concert Tour for Peace is a tour and documentary film featuring Waayaha Cusub. Cusub is a popular hip hop, Afrobeat, and R&B; music group from Somalia. The film crew — The Humanitarian Bazaar aims to present the new Somalia that has risen out of and beyond the conflict. |
