Avanti! Chamber Orchestra has organised a festival of its own called Suvisoitto (Summer Sounds) in the little Finnish town of Porvoo since 1986. The festival presents charming chamber music and magnificent orchestral concerts as well as events for children with the critically acclaimed Finnish and international soloists and conductors. The artistic director of the festival invites every year a foreign Guest Composer to present his or her work to the Finnish audience.
