World Music Festival

The World Music Festival that unites the world for one day based on the end of the Mayan calendar — Friday, December 21, 2012. The festival is organized by the joining up of The Light Productions, the Ultra Music Festival and the World Organization for Peace (WOFP). The date is considered the dawn of a new era and the World Music Festival’s attendees will join with 2 billion fellow celebrators from around the globe. Live feeds from simultaneous events occurring around the world at sacred Mayan pyramid sites, will feature commentaries from visionary spiritual leaders and performances by top music acts.

The one-off event takes advantage of today’s technology and social media platforms to unite the global audience — live streaming video from Mayan sites feature performances by a stellar roster of artists from the rock, pop, dance music, hip-hop and more. The aim of peace through music and philanthropy will be celebrated with massive synchronized concerts, messages from respected spiritual leaders including Mayan High Priest Ac Tah among others. non-profit organizations in the environmental, animal rights, disease prevention, social, alternative energies and education sectors will also be involved.

The event in Miami will be produced by director of live event productions — David Simpson who is responsible for some of the largest spectacles broadcast on television.
