| Festival Description | The Norwegian Organ Festival at Karmøy has its main focus on Nordic organ romances. One reason for this is the new organ in Kopervik church, an instrument from Verschueren Orgelbouw, Netherlands, which is decorated in a traditional romanticist manner. The festival also seeks to explore the contrasts between old and new and from Gregorian hymns to Norwegian folk tunes, and to identify the connection between the chant and the organ through concerts, seminars and masses. |
