Festival Story:
The first Beverley Blues Festival was held in October 2011 and was a great success. This was held at a single venue over 3 days, it was free of charge with an estimated attendance of 400+ people, plus artists. The highlights included headline performers, lesser known performers, and films. The festival was run on a voluntary basis, self financed with contributions from a local business and individuals. The main lesson learnt from last year was that we could have done more, based on the high level of interest received from various artists and the number of people we had to turn away when the venue reached capacity.
