Festival Description

The festival is organized by Jazz at Lincoln Center and serves as a celebration of the life and music of John Coltrane (1926-1967). An outstanding roster of jazz artists perform Coltrane works and works inspired by Coltrane.

    • Joshua Redman, saxophonist is supported by the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra (new arrangements of Coltrane’s works)

    • McCoy Tyner, pianist (the only surviving member of Coltrane’s classic quartet) with bassist Dave Holland and the drummer Jack DeJohnette
