    • Also hitting the stage at the Brewery are The Mandolas, a 4-piece folk/pop group based in Cork. The band makes use of a wide range of acoustic instruments as well as incorporating lavish 4-part harmonies into their music. The Mandolas perform original material and combine Irish and English folk traditions with a unique blend of contemporary pop. The band supported Paul Brady at the festival last year and just released their debut E.P “The Greatest Day”. They will take to the Brewery Lane stage in a haze of folk and fun.
  • Saturday, June 2
    • The Strand Theatre also welcomes back a band that has a special place in the hearts of Carrick people. The platinum selling High Kings have just returned from abroad where they performed at The White House, Washington, for President Obama and headlined the Trafalgar Square St Patrick’s day festivities in London where they played to critical acclaim. The High Kings return to the Clancy Brothers festival and hometown of Finbarr Clancy after a long awaited two years. “It is always a privilege to perform in my home town” — Finbarr Clancy. The High Kings live performances captures the essence of the ensembles energetic sound of ‘folk n roll’, serving up laughter, good times and even the occasional sing-a-long.
  • Saturday, June 2
    • John Spillane will headline a songwriter evening along with local musicians Colm Power, Caroline Ború, Eamon Wall and Pete Smith at the intimate Brewery Lane Theatre at 8:15pm. Twice a Meteor award winner, John Spillane is a musician, songwriter, recording artist, storyteller, poet and dreamer. This is sure to be a great night and a showcase of pure song writing talent from both John and the local acts supporting him. John will also hold a song writing workshop at the theatre that day from 3-5pm. Spaces are limited. For booking information on the workshop you can contact Pete Smith on 086-8548381.
  • Sunday, June 3
    • Frankie Gavin and De Dannan will take to the stage at the Strand Theatre. In August 2009, Frankie Gavin unleashed a new ‘De Dannan’ line up which in his own words “reflects a ‘De Dannan’ of the 21st century”. The current ‘De Dannan’ ensemble is led by original De Dannan member, Frankie Gavin. It is sure to be a night filled with passion and music from one of Ireland’s best loved traditional outfits.
