Artist feature 2012:
- Jeff and The Delta Swing (New Zealand)
- Born in Christchurch New Zealand Jeff Bradley was first inspired by seeing the film, The Benny Goodman story at the age of 13. Jeff’s interest in the clarinet and in particular Mr. Benny Goodman began a life-long passion with the instrument. As a traditional jazz musician Jeff made a point of attending touring Jazz Bands that included: Louis Armstrong’s All Stars, The Dutch Swing College Jazz Band, Eddie Condon’s All Stars, Terry Lightfoot’s All Stars, Kenny Ball and His Jazzmen, The Count Basie Orchestra and eventually Mr. Acker Bilk who was a true inspiration and partner in music. Mr. Acker Bilk and Jeff have remained close mates over a 40 year period. Over the years Jeff has both formed and performed in many bands both in New Zealand and Australia. It was in New Zealand however that Jeff formed his own band performing his unique vibrant tone and technique on his clarinet. This was “Easy Swing Jazz”, an uplifting and exciting experience for his listeners. For more information visit
