Featured artists 2013:
  • Martha Wainwright
    • The Main Stage will play host to the unfathomably talented member of Wilderness’ favourite folk dynasty, Martha Wainwright. Daughter of revered folk legends Kate McGarrigle and Loudon Wainwright III, and sister of celebrated vocalist and composer Rufus Wainwright, Martha grew up on stages with her family and has since established herself as one of the most gutsy guitar-slinging talents around.
  • The Bees
    • We also have The Bees coming to fill Cornbury with soulful smiles this year with their genre-bending good time grooves and repertoire of sunshine heart-warmers such as Winter Rose, Chicken Payback, Listening Man, Wash In The Rain,.. the list goes on and on with these guys. They won’t be playing any other festivals in 2013, so catch them when you can…
  • London Grammer
    • And you can’t ignore the buzz around our next band either (oops). Three-piece London Grammer have been causing a real stir with their epic yet incredibly intimate debut EP “Hey Now” and we can’t think of any better setting than the Main Stage to feel the full emotional force.
  • Sam Lee & Friends
    • Mercury Nominated Sam Lee & Friends will be bringing their unconventional, 21st Century take on traditional English folk back for another triumphant year. Sam was kind enough to recently describe Wilderness as “the quintessential Festival experience full of adventure, great music, wild swimming and spontaneous fun - like a dreamy cocktail of country summer holidays with friends amongst a soft paved city full of parties all canopied beneath the most giant ancient Oak Trees!”
VIP Spa 2013:
  • The Lakeside Spa with TOAST & Bathing Under The Sky is set in a location of pure natural beauty. In a hidden clearing by the side of a tranquil swimming lake, you will discover a whole new world away from the bustle of the festival that allows you to unwind and relax among the trees. The Lakeside Spa offers the ultimate blissful, relaxation experience at Wilderness… This summer, the Spa facilities have increased to make your spell in the Spa even more luxurious - we have added additional handmade wood-fired hot tubs and saunas, made from the finest western red cedar. TOAST provide further atmosphere (as if the location alone wasn’t enough), with free herbal teas, hanging lanterns from trees, setting fires blazing in their fire bowls, and ranging their deck chairs, cushions, blankets and hammocks all around for all to relax and enjoy. The Lakeside Spa offers a private swimming lake area and bar, cushioned day beds, a secure cloakroom and changing rooms, we’re thrilled to also be welcoming back Aesop who will be generously providing spa dwellers with samples of superlative products for the skin, hair and body. Expect hot showers and a pampering area complete with hair dryers, appliances and mirrors so you can skip out of the Spa completely refreshed. Start your day with a swim in the pristine lake and a relaxing sauna to soothe away any symptoms of the previous night’s celebrations…

Play time 2013:
  • Decorate yourself
    • Now, it’s almost time to envelope yourself in louche attire, colour and headdresses; decorate and adorn yourself with paints and beads; theatre and regalia is the order of the day… Be a beautiful freak at La Belle et La Bete, don your Venetian disguise at the Polpo banquet and lose yourself in the beating heart of the forest at the Bacchanlian Masqued Ball.
  • Secret Emporium
    • SE returns bursting at the seams with independent fashion, jewelry and contemporary craft designers. Curated especially for the Wilderness audience, highlights this year include: Animalesque who make screen printed and embroidered headwear for adults and children featuring a range of wild animals. Sir Plus a clever designer who started by making boxer shorts from the off cuts of Saville Row, has now expanded into making exquisite waistcoats and men’s accessories.
  • Prangsta Costumiers’
    • PC brings their renowned theatrical Boudoir to Wilderness. Whether you wish to get masked and lashed in 18th century inspired Bacchanlian Masquerade or revel in Dance of the Vagabond Dreamers, Prangsta work closely with your creative vision and style you from head to toe in the outfit of your wildest dreams.
  • Smashbox Cosmetics Masterclass
    • You’ll soon be able to reserve your slot for a 30 minute Smashbox Cosmetics masterclass like no other - create your perfect Wilderness look and take home a gift of essential makeup survival swag following the masterclass. Make sure you join them for some serious make up artistry skills and a lot of fun at the Smashbox Cosmetics masterclass tent. Booking details coming very soon..
  • The Beauty of Flowers
    • Bella & Fifi are back and will be bringing more fresh blooms to the festival. They’ll be making beautiful handmade head garlands made from fresh sweet scented flowers. But when they’re not decorating heads, they’ll be decorating the festival itself with some impromptu ‘flower bombing’. A posy here, a trail of petals there…
