| Festival Description | L’OFF JAZZ is an annual festival that takes place each autumn in Montreal venues. The programming includes concerts, improvisational performances, club nights and parties. The festival was founded in 1999 L’OFF JAZZ festival shines the spotlight on seasoned artists who have shaped the dynamic local jazz scene, as well as facilitates collaborations between local jazz musicians and nationally and internationally-renowned musicians. These musicians, performers, composers, and improvisers, who are all at the top of their creative form, carry on the tradition of innovation and exploration that makes jazz music sizzle. The concerts are presented in highly-respected jazz venues in Montreal: the Sala Rossa, the Casa del Popolo, the Dièse Onze Jazz Club, Upstairs, the Lion d’Or Cabaret, the Cabaret du Mile-End, as well as at the Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur, the Maison de la culture Mont-Royal and the Saint-Viateur d’Outremont church. |
