| Festival Description | The festival takes place on Samothraki Island — for its magical and natural setting. The experience is set to make the festival a get-away destination. The organziers have selected the island for just this purpose. The music and arts festival celebrates the beauty of life, through honoring the goodness and light of humans in a peaceful gathering among like-minded individuals seeking a better and richer lifestyle. The eco-friendly festival is a boat ride away from the mainland where mythology, history, the crystal clear sea hold something magical in store for attendees. In addition to music — which includes psychedelic and progressive music, trance, and more there is a flea market, a forum for discussions and lectures featuring academics, thinkers, and philosophers who explore alternative living and co-operative lifestyles and more… The visual artists associated with the festival create a transformative environment working with nature, lighting, fabrics and props to add to the magical experience! The first festival took place in 2008. |
