Festival Description | Participants will be able to use a theatre platform for showing their choreography. The programming includes performances and creations, workshops, dramatic dance and shows while participants compete for prizes in various categories — classic dance, modern dance, jazz-hip hop, folk, Latin dance, choreography, dramatic dance, pedagogy, classic talents, modern talents and costumes. The prizes include the Grishko International Award and the Grand Prix Praha for the best group, which shall be awarded by a jury consisting of members of the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, Faculty of Dance, Charles University, Czech Culture, National Theatre Ballet in Prague and international members: (Stuttgart Ballet, Grand Ballet Genéve, Theatre Mariinsky Saint Petersburg). The Festival/Competition is open to private and amateur dance schools, groups and institutions without age limitation, as the purpose of the festival is to provide all participants with a unique opportunity of experiences charged with emotions in the magical atmosphere of this beautiful city in an ambience of art and friendship among all those who live on love of dance and believe in joy the dance art offers. New kinds of workshops have been added: pantomime, theatre make-up lessons and of course some special lessons for pedagogues. |

Participant’s information 2012:
- The price is a set price per person and includes those following:
- Participation in the New Prague Dance Festival—Competition 2011—Workshops—Masterclasses—classical, modern, jazz/hip hop and special techniques Pilates, folk/ethnic dance, pantomime, theatre make up lessons under the leading the professors of the Dance University Department (HAMU) and the State Dance Conservatory
- Dance seminary for pedagogues (classical and modern dance)
- Accommodation in a four star hotel TOP HOTEL PRAHA or in 3 star hotel in Prague (when 4 star hotel is filled).
- Breakfast provided July 1-6 2012
- Dinner provided July 1-4, 2012
- Final GALA evening and festive dinner on July 5, 2012
- Assistance by an authorized person - interpreter (non professional) upon transportation to theatres, tourist trips and premises of the New Prague Dance Festival (one interpreter per bus)
- Use of theatres and belonging technical facilities upon stage rehearsals and performances during a period assigned to each participating group
- Transportation of participants around Prague, to theatres and all other places by bus with a Czech driver and a possibility of reaching the city center (a mini bus from the airport and back for free of charge)
- Medical assistance during stage rehearsals and performances in the premises of the New Prague Dance Festival
- Guide/translator for the trip to the Prague Castle (Charles IV castle) or an other place of your interest (Museums, Art galleries, churches) with a cruise on Vltava river and dinner, also alternative cultural program can be arranged with the organizers
- After talk with organizers a possibility of extra trips to important historical places (organizer will provide you free guide and transport)
- For all paying accompanying members, parents, friends of schools and groups - free places at theatres for all nights of the New Prague Dance Festival and the festive dinner and the possibility to follow the whole sightseeing program.
