| Festival Description | The first edition of the North American Human Beatbox Festival will take place in 2011. The inaugural event will be curated by beatbox artist Kid Lucky. Beatbox had its beginnings as an American-made vocal style of beatboxing — a unique style of using the mouth, lips and voice to replicate a variation of drum beats. The technique had its beginnings in New York’s hip-hop in the 1970s. The festival features some of the world’s leading beatbox artists. |
