| Festival Description | A world-class arts festival held in the City of Gdańsk in northern Poland since 2009. Top Polish and international musicians, actors, open air jazz performances, filmmakers, directors and opera singers have put together some of the most intriguing art undertakings of the past two years in the first couple editions of the event. The programming includes film premieres, theatre pieces, opera spectacles, symphonies written specially for the festival, as well as music workshops run by each edition’s biggest stars. This month-long event is organized by the City of Gdańsk, the Pomorskie Province and the Polish Film Institute. It is also a flagship undertaking of the city’s European Capital of Culture 2016 campaign. |
