Festival Story:

Music, food and shopping combine for a weekend of fun in the historic Treme neighborhood at the Treme Creole Gumbo Festival - another free event brought to you by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation. The Foundation is a nonprofit that owns the Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell. The Foundation uses the proceeds from Jazz Fest, and other funds, for year-round programs in the areas of education, economic development and cultural events. The foundation also owns radio station WWOZ 90.7-FM, the Jazz & Heritage Archive, the Jazz & Heritage Gallery and the Jazz & Heritage Center. The Jazz & Heritage Gala raises funds for foundation programming with a black-tie event to start the Jazz Fest season.
