| Festival Description | The annual Sandstorm Festival is organized by Extreme Events who bring together three thrash and extreme metal bands for the one day event in Dubai. Sandstorm is considered “the voice of the underground” and features some of the best in underground metal from all over the world. The 2009 edition of the festival features Netherland’s MELECHESH with the support of Jordanian Oriental Dark Metal band BILOCATE and Lebanese Extreme Metal band KAOTEON for a once in a lifetime head banging experience. |

- Melechesh
- After 14 years of making music, revolutionizing Mesopotamian Metal will be playing for the very first time for their fans in the UAE-Dubai. MELECHESH promise to deliver a show that would probably below your brains out. “…we are very pleased to play in the middle east we constantly get fan mail and hear about how strong and great the scene is over there, this will mark our first middle eastern show with the exception of the gigs we did in ‘Holy Land’, we feel this event has significance to us…”. - Bilocate
- The Jordanian dark oriental band known as BILOCATE — the Doomdeath metal band arose from the mid-country city of Fuhais in Jordan. The brothers Ramzi and Waseem Essayed with their friend Hani Abbadi, joined forces with Rami Haikal, Ahmed Kloub, and Baha Farah to form a metal band in which they would put their musical talents together to form a metal tour de force.
