Festival Description

The MilkBar International Film Festival is produced and curated by Merlin Coleman, Mary Aarmentrout, and Ian Winters. The interdisciplinary festival feataures a program of diverse works exploring the relationship of film, music, performance and installation. The works presented at the festival include international films as well as works from the Oakland area and world premiers of newly commissioned works.

The film screenings are in progress and feature live movement and music performances in a medley of sight and sound experiences. The live-music portion of the program has been expanded this year. The Live aspect of the festival is what sets it apart from other film festivals.
